Hi Carrie, sorry about the delay...no computer for a number of days! I add my pureed carrots along with my powdered goats milk to my oils, then add the lye water. I do count in the carrot mixture as part of my liquids. This time I had 7oz carrot puree and 9.5 oz of water. My lye was 8.5 oz. ( I always try to make sure I have at least 1 oz more of water than my lye so it fully dissolves). This was a little less fluid than I usually do... but my timeline for curing on this soap is tighter, 4-5 weeks and I did not do a swirl.

I do my pumpkin soap the same way.... in fact that batch is starting to form in my head. My sister, Carol, has already been asking for it!
