Ohhhhh...WANT.

The boy and I raided Home Depot this weekend and made our first log mold out of pine. We have the makings of a red oak slab mold as well, but it needs to be glued together because nails made it angry.

(it is safe to glue a mold together if it's going to be lined anyway, right?)

I wonder if it's possible to make your own dividers by demolishing one of those Tupperware-type food storage containers. That would be LDPE rather than HDPE plastic, but it'd be a lot easier to obtain cheaply and cut safely.

I mean, you can USE Tupperware as a soap mold, so why not as dividers? The only thing I'd wonder about is how to accurately measure and cut the notches in the plastic strips so they'd stay straight.

Has anyone tried this? It seems like it'd be worth an experiment.
