No, i just used it by itself. i no longer use it in lotions since it happened to two different batched of mine. I just double checked the bottle it's actually optiphen plus, maybe that's the difference?

I can't use Optiphen (or the +) in my lotion formula at all. It makes it curdle.

I use optiphen in my lotions, and it has not caused a problem. The lotion stays emulsified as far as I can tell.
When it causes problems for you all does it do it down the road like months later or like immediately?

We have tried a few different things in the past but nothing curdled and nothing has grown bacteria or mold so far. Ingredients (in no particular order) are optiphen, E-wax, stearic acid, almond oil (have used grapeseed in the past as well), coconut oil (love that stuff), water, glycerine, vitamin E, fragrance oils/essential oils, sometimes use cyclomethicone, cocoa butter. I think that is it. Typical recipe, pretty simple. It ends up being a very thick lotion, maybe that helps the curdle problem, dunno.
