Teach Soap

Can anyone suggest an eo that would be healthy for skin in a leave-on lotion bar. I'm thinking of mango butter, sweet almond oil and beeswax. My skin gets itchy patches (excema?). Is there an eo with healing properties that would be helpful?

For itchy skin or excema, I would leave it unscented.

If you want the lotion to absorb into the skin - leave out the beeswax.

And yes - as Soapbuddy said, I would leave it unscented to begin with.

Thank you both! If I leave out the beeswax, do I need to replace it with something else for hardness?

I have used candelila wax. It's harder then beeswax and you need less. Carnauba wax would be another choice.

Yup, I use Candilla wax as well. Only need 1/3 to 1/2 of the amount of Beexwax though.

Another option is to sub in some palm, palm kernel or coconut oil for hardness. I would half the amount of mango butter and use cocoa butter for the other half as that's hard as well. Just think that anything that's hard at room temperature will make your lotion bar hard as well...

Can Ewax be used instead? I'm going to try making my own soon too.
