Acorn harvest: Went in and immediately turned the batter NEON yellow. Like shoelaces in the 80s neon yellow! After about a minute it was caramel brown. Moderate acceleration.

Fresh fallen leaves: no discolour or acceleration noted.

These two should be unmolded and cut in a couple of days, I doubt they will gel because they are un-insulated due to unforeseeable circumstances.

It doesn't seem to have gotten any darker over night, and the smell is SO amazing! Mmmm makes me want to eat the soap!!! I'll post some pictures tomorrow when I unmold and cut. It actually partially gelled, but from the edges in! Its weird!

Will cut this tonight, the little ice cube bars I made with the extra have turned a LOT darker since yesterday! Still smells super yummy!

Here we are! I suck at measuring so one batch is a lot smaller than the other... oops? Red and green top is fresh fallen leaves, green top is acorn harvest with an end slice to show the unmolded colour. The cubes have become a dark chocolate during the day. In the background are my new "soap molds". 6 X 3 X 9 inch bamboo drawer organizers from bed bath and beyond. They hold 1 pound each and worked great! $5 each! Just could NOT find 1lb molds from any companies that I liked.

Oh yeah, both batches ashed, even with alcohol! And the coloured parts are unscented. The red is tomato liquid colourant from NG and the green is a mixture of a bunch of pigments and micas.

Hate when you put so much work into protecting from ash and it does it anyway!

Those look great still though, the Acorn Harvest will look great when it finishes discoloring I bet! How did you like Fresh Fallen Leaves?

I can hardly wait, all my new NG FO's should be here tomorrow! Which reminds me, I need to put together a little something for the UPS man....

I love the fresh fallen leaves! It smells pretty darn close to the real thing, a little more perfumey, but I suspect that will change as it ages. I will do more sample soaps next week!

I 'm intrigued by the Acorn Harvest, but I just soaped Nutcracker, and I'm worried that they would be too similar. (I want a variety of distinct scents to give for the holidays.) Has anyone smelled them both? Any thoughts?

Sadly, I am not impressed with Acorn Harvest OOB. Maybe it is the buttery notes. :( Maybe I will like it better when I soap it.

HOWEVER omg Honey Bunny and Black (for men) be smellin good y'all!!!

I got my NG order today!!! The Lavender Martini smells awesome! I can't wait to try this.
I also got Stud, which smells pretty darn good too. I think I'll call the soap Stud Muffin.
I had a slight problem with my order - my internet connection disappeared as I was confirming my payment method, so it never posted. The person that I spoke with to finish processing the order was so friendly and helpful. I'll have to give them an A+ for customer service. :D

Acorn harvest is now VERY dark chocolate brown, which I expected because it is something like 10% vanillin. It keeps the butter notes (so far), that is actually our favorite part of it!
