Teach Soap

Just found fragrance oils at Crafts 2000 from a company called Abbey & Sullivan. The bottle says it can be used in soap, but all the images they show are obviously melt & pour soap. Has anyone tried this brand in cold process?
(& yes, I know this forum has ties to Brambleberry, so I'm posting about the competition! Sorry!)

Yes, I just got a reply e-mail today, and they said their fragrance oils are good for CP also. They claim their scents are good and strong and will hold up well. Although it makes me nervous that they've made a blanket statement for all the scents..... I doubt that ALL of them are going to come out just peachy keen. I wish somebody else in the forum was gonna be the pioneer on these & not me! lol

I was looking at their site and they don't have any useage rates for their fo's. Except in their MP soap instructions where they end up adding 1/8 oz - 1/3 oz of fo in 4.5 oz of mp. 1/3 oz!! 1/3 oz is like 8%.

Most "craft store" types of fo's seize horribly in cp.

P.S. I just have to say the pic of the MP soap they did is hideous. They should have taken a pic in a week or so after making it so they could show how brown the flower looks in there

The bottle says, "1/2 oz to 1 1/2 oz" per pound of wax or soap base. The e-mail I got said .5 to .8 oz per pound of oil. And yeah, I thought that melt and pour soap pic was ugly too! lol

I may chicken out myself & try my hand at candle making instead. That Joy Wax from NG has been calling my name for a couple of months anyway!
