I had a friend over to soap yesterday and she told me that she re-uses the freezer paper that lines her mold for about 3 batches (or until it starts to stick or tear). I had never considered this....always just throw mine away.
Does anyone else re-use the freezer paper liner? Would there be problems with doing this?

I never came to the idea of reusing freezer paper. I think it's really not that worth to reuse it.

I reuse it. There's no problems as long as there's no soap stuck to the paper.

I'm assuming by carry over, you mean scent. I haven't had a problem with that. It's really not much different than using plastic or silicone molds without washing them in between uses. Which I do regularly

I have reused the paper without a problem. LOL I wish I could keep enough scent to carry over!

What a surprise....had no idea that people did this! I tried it yesterday and it worked great.
Guess I'll be saving that paper, now!
What about when there is a bit of soap left on the paper? Do you just try to scrape it off and salvage the paper? Or is it better to just start with a new piece?

If I'm using a plastic mold, do I need to line it? I've used PAM for MP, but I haven't done CP yet -- waiting on my supplies that should be here in the next week.

Some plastic molds are fine, others sometimes stick. If it sticks, just pop it in the freezer for an hour or so and then it should pop out.

Thank you, Linda. Appreciate the input. Now I don't have to spend time and money looking for freezer paper! Spent enough money on new goggles, plastic pitcher, gloves, measuring cup, stick blender, molds, supplies, etc.

And I thought my Mom (may she RIP) was nuts -- she had one room for quilting, one for yarn stuff, one for what didn't fit in the other two . . . and then the basement! I tend to take after her :lol:
