Teach Soap

I did my first ITPS today. (kinda got stressed out when I noticed two of the colors thickened up on me.. I didn't notice any acceleration from the FO (NG's Mt. Dew).

I think I may have just over blended the two colors with my stick blender.

Wondering if when doing a 6 color swirl, and leaving the base batter un-colored, Is it Necessary to use a bit of Titanium dioxide?

I guess it would be a preference, but do most of you do it?

Depends if you want a 'natural' coloured base, or a white base.

I've been thinking that that is the problem with most of my ITP swirls too...too much colored soap and not enough white.

Ok, I accidentally sliced the loaf.. Just couldn't wait! I wouldn't have been able to sleep if I didn't...lol

I think the white spots are glitter from my crinkle cutter.. who knows. lol





and I came up with a way to cut even bars since I suck at free-hand cutting (i'm sure it's been done before)

That's certainly bright!

Looks great, almost has a faux funnel pour pattern. Did you use titanium dioxide at all? The white spots kind of look like TD spots. What FO did you use?

I use a mini mixer to mix up my colorants like TD (). Usually if there are any chunks at all they sit at the bottom of the cup I mixed in, so when I pour the color in I stop just short of the very bottom to make sure.

I don't know about Mountain Dew lol.... but then again my Sparkling Lime soap smells just like 7 Up soda to me, and I love it!
