Maybe its just me, but I would call and file a police report for theft by deception. It seems to me that it may be the only recourse you have. You have tried multiple times to contact them to resolve the issue. But the fact remains that they have 274 bucks worth of your hard effort.

There is a lingere store here that gets burned so much by naughty spouses denying purchases and charging them back, that for every credit card payment you have to show to DL and they write down your DL # on the store reciept. Maybe a good idea to take a picture of that!

Sadly, it is probably more prevalent to have credit card problems in this bad economy. Hope you get your money or your soap back!

Well, I am not holding out much hope for the return of my money. It sure seems like the SquareUp company is not very interested in customer support. If you go take a look at their twitter feed there seem to be a lot of other customers who have not received responses. @spsupport or @squareup I believe.....you can go back several posts and find where it was listed previously.

All I can think is that she must have hit some bad times and must have needed that money more than I do. For the time being, I will suck up the loss and try to be grateful that my situation is not as dire as hers must be at this time to be so evil in what she has done.

I may pursue taking her to small claims court to resolve the matter at a later time. Law enforcement will not get involved as they consider this to be a civil matter rather than criminal. I know this because I worked in law enforcement as a dispatcher for 16 years and my husband is a deputy sheriff.

I will look for a different credit card processor though and the first thing I will look for is one with clear customer service numbers!
