Teach Soap

For those of you who use Candle Science FOs, you need to go check and make sure they're still bath & body safe. Just for the ones that I've seen, Cranberry Marmalade, Honeysuckle Jasmine, Rain Water, Scotch Pine, Violet Lime, Apples & Maple Bourbon, Black Cherry, Caramelized Pralines, Frankincense & Myrrh, and Smoke & Odor Eliminator (doubt anyone would use it for soap or lotion LOL) are all no longer skin safe. Black Cherry was safe when they had their last 1oz sampler sale. I was going to mix the Black Cherry with some Tobacco to see if I could get a nice pipe tobacco smell. Oh well. To the box of FOs for tarts it goes.

Always check to make sure that the FO is skin safe or cosmetic safe.

I saw that CS recently said that the IFRA updated their skin safe ingredient standards. So I wonder if any other suppliers will be changing any of their fo's to not skin safe

I havent used it yet becuase I still have BB black cherry left so will email them today and double check.

There have been some updates to IFRA guidelines, so it's possible what was skin safe before now isn't.

I see what you're saying. Fragrances are proprietary compounds and the formulas to make them are closely guarded secrets. So we will never find out what's in them. Each vendor should have safe guidelines usage.
