I've been wanting to try that funnel swirling too!! There's so little info on it though........atleast last time I looked. I do definately understand the procedure, but I *love* looking at pics of stuff!

My swirling.......i think it's pretty decent. I do the lazy man's in the pot swirling. For a 2 pound batch (32 oz of oils), I take out about 1/2 cup, color that part.....hold the cup up high and pour back into the pot in a circle. make an X with the spoon, then pour into the mold FAST. And really, that's it.......lemme see if I can find some of my swirls.......

Here is AXIS Phoenix Fire. Neon Yellow for the main part, then swirl with neon red and black oxide.

Here is AXIS Reloaded. UM Blue Swirl.

And here is my Wobbles! Neon yellow for the main part, with neon red and neon green for the swirls.

Those are great! I am still getting swirling down... have a lot more MP than CP! Those are beautiful though!

speaking of MP..........*how* do you guys get it to swirl? I've seen some gorgeous swirlage in mp soaps but I've tried it a few times and the colors just sort of combine themselves.....lol I dont do alot of mp, mostly for fun, but doggonnit.....it really gets to me when I cant "master" something. I can swirl my cp all day, but when I try with mp, it just wont work for me.

I've not seen a MP bar swirled as crisply as you can with CP. Here is a tutorial on how to do it though;

Swirling with CP - if you're swirling in the mold, not the pot - the higher you pour from (with your swirl color), the deeper it will go. If you want to get down to the bottom, hold the container with the swirl color up high. If you want just a few top swirls, hold it low. For traditional swirls, vary the height as you pour.
