I've seen lots of mention online regarding sugar scrubs, but have never used one or seen one in person. What exactly are the benefits of using sugar to scrub your skin? I'm sincerely curious!

It's a great way to exfoliate. Sugar/salt scrubs work very well and water dissolves the exfoliants. Making your own scrubs is simple and ingredients are easy to get. I LOVE to use my sugar scrub on my rough, dry hands or feet and then moisturize well. It's like getting a mini manicure or pedicure, pllus I smell good afterwards. Try it!

I think I will have to give it a try, just to see why everyone loves them so much! Is the salt or the sugar a better one to start with?

If you have any cuts or scrapes salt with sting. I would go with sugar.

Love sugar scrubs! I make two different kinds! Regular (more oil based with sugar or salt) or a whipped foaming scrub with extra moisturizing ingredients. They sell evenly. I prefer the whipped scrub I make. It exfoliates (which I desperately need!)
