Teach Soap

I have a bottle of Moonlight Pomegranate here that I want to use in CP soap, but all research shows it's a known separator. Ann Marie says in one of her posts that it is a Advanced Soaper Fragrance and to be familiar with stick blending it back in as it tries to separate.

I'm wanting to give this a shot, but before I jump in the deep end, can I just confirm that it basically means to keep blending and blending until it returns to a normal soap batter mixture? How will this effect trace - I assume no delicate swirls with this fragrance? (Not an issue for the design I wanted to create anyway). Will it separate during/after cure? Or is the separation just an issue with the original batter mix? And soap cool I assume?

It won't likely separate during cure if it's been mixed completely during trace. Soaping cooler may help keep it from seizing, but I don't know if it will help with fo's that separate. Just stick blend that baby back in as many times as it takes to get it to mix.

Or I've heard that some people have better luck HP'ing it.

I'm not a fan of the scent so I've only used it once and that was a long time ago.

I would just HP it. If it separates and you get a thick trace, it will be hard to thoroughly mix.

Hp... forgot about that. Will give that a go then. I had hoped to use CP to get the right look I had in mind, but might just have to find other uses for this fragrance. Poo bum

I have used this FO twice now. The first time was in my little 4 oz bars. Then I did a full batch on the 15th of this month. I did use a full amout of liquid (half water and half coconut milk), soaped at approx 105, no colorant as this went tan on me with my sample bar. Both times I was supprised to see that it gave me no issues. Both of these recipes did have lard in them which might have helped. As for the scent... my allergies are acting up right now and nothing smells right but if I remember correctly I liked it the first time I made it.
