OK, Making a batch of goatmilk soap and I think the milk wasn't cold enough..anyway the lye turned bright orange and temp went up to 147 degrees. Small white curd appearing particles developed during trace and poured into my mold. It's hardening beautifully but just wondering what the white curds were and is it safe to use. This is my 6th batch without any problems but the milk was icy also

The orange is from the sugar in the milk caramelizing. The white curds are the fats from the milk, unless you used a fragrance that can make the soap separate. I would check for zap, since the curds might not have saponified.

Thanks.. If there is no Zap, you think its safe to use? I used FOs but I think the curds were in there before i added after trace.
