I know Brambleberry sells it. I happened to find a local supplier and she sells it too. You might look into that.

I found a 16oz jar of Rooto at the local Menards; claims to be 100% lye. Cost something like $4 with tax.

It's likely that you can get it cheaper online or in bulk, though.

Lowes is the only store, and I've looked, that carries it here in Central Cali, probably elsewhere too. It's reasonable, about $7 for 2lbs.

Yes 100% lye only. I get mine at Ace Hardware. 16 oz for 3.99.

You guys are lucky I can't find it anywhere in michigan. When I was in texas lowes carried it. I have a 5lb box that is junk, because the moisture got to it from the supplier and I'm dying to soap lol.
