Teach Soap

Newbie here and was wondering how you should label M&P for resale. ( Handmade, natural, homemade etc....)

I don't use any of those. I use Glycerin Soap and the name (fragrance). I list all the ingedients according to the manufacturer or vendor. The word "natural" has lost its meaning as everyone is using it for everything. Handmade to me means cold process soap, not MP base. I make and use both.

Here's a post on Soap Queen about how to label your soap. It is geared towards CP - but the rules are the same for M&P. I like how Glycerin soap sounds, glycerin is so nice and moisturizing and M&P base has alot of glycerin - so that is an accurate name as well.

I was wondering about this as well. I noticed on the package of MP that I bought at a craft store a multiple of ingredients are listed. Do we in turn lable our products with those same ingredients?

How about "hand designed"?

If I were selling my soaps, I might use that. I feel that M&P soap designing is a pretty intense hobby. In 6 short months, I've found that the amount of effort put into detailing these soaps and coming up with something I am proud of is actually very labor intensive and almost stressful at times. And I'm in all honesty probably only going to do this for a couple years at most since I have a full time career and really find the hobby kind of a stressful thing to do on my off time.
I say this even though I love it in a way.

With the amount of effort i put into them, I feel like my soaps are "hand made". But I can understand that the base is not, so maybe "hand designed" is the best description.
