I want to add a body spray to my product line. I have found a few different body spray/mist bases that are from reputable suppliers but I'm not sure if people would prefer an alcohol based or non-alcohol based. If I go with a non alcohol based I'm gonna go with Cyclomethicone. If I go with an alcohol based I found a base with SD Alcohol/Perfumer's Alcohol. What do you prefer.

I prefer alcohol free for body sprays. Cyclomethicone is very slippery. If you spray it on in your bathroom, your floor will end up being slippery. Can you get some samples from your vendor to try? That way you can see which one you like the best.

Another decision is going to be are you going to use it as a room spray as well as a body spray too? If you do, you have to make sure its skin safe if you find one that doubles as a room spray. I do have the body & hair protein mist from BCN and like it well enough, but it is cloudy on its own and my FOs tend to separate out so they definitely have to be shaken up when you want to use them, which I would do and suggest for use anyway. Personally, I have tile, wood and laminate flooring in my house, so I really don't want to use Cyclomethicone because of the slippery factor since I'm pretty sure my twins are going to get ahold of my sprays eventually I am searching for other spray bases but the one from BCN doesn't smell like alcohol though its the #4 ingredient in it. I want to try WSP and EBB's sprays.

I would not recommend a product that will separate in the bottle. You can write the instructions in big letters on the bottle, yet the consumer will use it as is. This could be dangerous, if the fragrance didn't mix in properly.

Yeah, I'm not impressed with the separation. Though for an unscented spray for a hair conditioning agent, its great. On the plus side, I only bought 8 ounces and I can at least use it for myself because I seem to be going through an AWFUL lot of my Autumn Warmth spray So yep, onto trying other bases.
