Teach Soap

Before I throw away 8 PETG molds due to pitting, has anyone had success in fixing these? Sanding? I may try once more using vegetable oil as a coating before they get tossed. Any other suggestions?

I did a dozen Father's Day soaps on a rope over the weekend and couldn't use most of them because of the pitting.

The pitting is certainly a reaction to some fragrances. But, no way to predict which ones, as far as I can tell. This particular bunch used a coffee fragrance oil. I've had it happen, too, using Drakkar Noir (type), which I no longer offer.

I'm no help when it comes to the pitting issue. But instead of throwing them away you can recoup some of your money by selling them.
I recently sold a whole bunch of my slightly warped molds on Craigslist. I made sure to say that they were warped and included pics of it. I had several newbie soapers ask for them.
