I made some CP soap and molded it in those cutesy little molds designed to make kids soaps, i.e. little animals and crayon shapes. I cannot get it unmolded without damaging the soap, thereby ruining its shape. Any ideas on how to get it out without destroying it? I didn't oil them prior to putting the soap in the mold, and I'm kicking myself for that now. I just assumed that since soap IS oil, that it would come out easier. I usually use loaf molds, and have had no issued with getting it out. Grrrrrr. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

THANKS!!!

How long have they been in there?

You can pop them in the freezer for a while and see if that works.

Soap is no longer just an oil. I would try the freezer trick.

When I use those molds I use baby oil or vaseline and then an hour in the freezer before I even try popping them out.

That happened to me once with my gingerbread men! I ended up leaving them in the molds for 4 weeks, then froze them and after removing from the freezer they sat in a dish of hot water for 15 seconds.... that when they decided to leave the mold! Now I always grease that mold with vasilene!

I will oil them in the future. However, I put them in the freezer for quite some time. Once I took them out, I quickly removed it from the mold without any destruction! Thanks guys!
