Hey everyone,

Last night I tried my usual Hot Process Recipe using the Cold Process method.
I just cut the bars and was surprised by the inside area.
I assume the rings are where the batch started to Gel...Saponify? :?:

This is my first time using CP and realize I still have to wait 4-6 weeks before its done.
Is this normal?

Seems to have turned out nicely and smells great.

Looks like it may have overheated some. The liquid should re-absorb in a couple days. Looks great though! What scent and colourant did you use?

Hmm...Yea...The PVC Tube was pretty warm when I sealed it.
The thing I'm going to have trouble with is waiting for it to cure. :cry:

This batch I used: Crafters Choice Asian Plum Fragrance Oil 136 (It's very popular with the ladies at work)
The Colorants are just the cheap Liquids from Hobby Lobby. (Some Red, Blue and Purple till I get the shade I want)

I'm interested in the Mica's and Oxide's but haven't tried them yet.
(After next payday I plan on putting a B-Berry order together)

Looks like overheating to me as well. It's a pretty color! Give it a couple of weeks.

It is a really nice color, Dave. I hope it doesn't fade - the colors I used from the craft store didn't hold up well.
The FO sounds interesting - I may have to try it.
And waiting for the cure is definitely the hardest part of CP soaping! :wink:

I have to say....I love the color! I haven't used that type of colorant before, so not sure what to tell you to expect.
But I was canning beets the other day and we had some tonight....and when I saw your soap that's what I thought of

. Looks yummy to me!
