Teach Soap

I make melt and pour soaps I have been looking at the soaps that are beening made and would like to know what type of Melt and Pour base are most of you using?'(Cold Process-Low Sweat' Melt and Pour Clear Melt and Pour ) .I use both clear and white. Which is the best colorants should i use that will not bleed. I am also trying to make swirls in my soap. I saw the list on BRAMBLE BERRY on colors but i am more confused than before.

Welcome! I have to say that Brambleberry has great melt and pour bases on their site. I have been using their clear and white with no problems. The best non-bleeding colorants (to my knowledge) are oxides. You can get them liquid (although a little pricier) or in powder form. I've been using powder form, but I've been getting little color speckles in my soap. The key is to not pour it in when the soaps too hot, mix ur oils and color in a seperate side dish, stir till all of the clumps are gone, then add to base.

I still haven't mastered, this... darn speckles, but I have been using my stick blender and it mixes great.... only problem is that I get a white foam on top that doesn't go away with alcohol...

The 'Like Cold Process' Melt and Pour is pretty much the same as any melt and pour. It just has less glycerin in it to reduce the 'sweating' that some people get with their soaps. If you live in a humid area you are more likely to have this problem.
