Teach Soap

Prices for me have nearly doubled recently. Have you noticed that FO prices are soaring? I am waiting to try a chocolate fragrance, I can't imagine a chocolate soap. Chocolate shampoo anyone?

My last order of buckets of soapmaking oils have gone up quite a bit. I have chocolate soap in my inventory, but it's a slow seller.

my family seems to like it at certain times of the year, to have out at the bathroom sink... like Christmas, valentines day, easter. I did the neopolitian soap from the soap queen's blog.... it was nice for a summer soap... ice cream reference.

I did some chocolate soap a couple of years ago at Halloween. I had cats (heads and full bodies), jack-o-lanterns, and skull-and-crossbones. They pretty much flew off my table.

I also did chocolate bunnies this year for Easter. They sold well, too.

LOL, chocolate bunnies soaps! I can just imagine! What a great kids item. I asked for coffee, but no. Hmmmm... I know that caffeine is good at getting rid of dodgy skin cells, it turns on apoptosis, (hope I spelt that correctly). Maybe I will make some strong coffee and sub it for the water. Anyone tried it?

I've subbed strong coffee for all of the water. It doesn't smell very nice when you're mixing the lye in, but the smell goes away as the soap cures. I put coffee grounds in it as well. I sell it as Coffee Kitchen Soap. Some people think the coffee helps get the garlic or onion smell off their hands. I don't make any claims about that and as long as they think it works, I'll keep making it!
