Stacy, There is nothing "to be kind" about - your first soaps are fantastic! Looks like you have done this for a long time.

Well a little bit embaressed to be posting my humble soap, but I am quite proud, this is my first goats milk soap, and it is fragranced with 'freshly brewed coffee' fragrance. I read up a bit on all the different ways of adding goats milk and decided to go with the bare minimum water then adding the rest of the liquid (milk) at trace. I think i did alright! There was no awful smell either, except for the fragrance - pee-eew! Thankfully it died down after a few days and now smells almost like a caramel coffee smell. I actually like the rustic uneven look to the top of it.

Mella, what gorgous soaps. You have really gotten into the pipping of the soaps.

goddessbec, love the humble soap... I really enjoy my milk soaps. Even though I like to dress-up some of my soaps, it is the everyday soaps that my family and friends will end up using. The others seem to be just put out for 'looks'. I have told them if they do not use them I will gift them no more soap... it does not work, they still say they are too pretty to use?!

beautiful soaps, mella!

Bec, your soap looks great. There's nothing wrong with an unadorned soap. 8)

That looks great Bec! I love "plain old soap", don't -need- swirls and rainbows etc. Nice job!

Here's one of my plain soaps:
Sweet Temptation ~ Sweet Hawthorne honey embracing warm vanilla milk as they lay on a bed of nutty almond.
It has finely ground oats throughout the soap and dusting the top.

goddessbec your soap is beautiful and looks like a luxurious toffee! With the coffee fo it could be coffee toffee! It will always be your first goats milk soap! I bet it will be a really creamy bar that is what it looks like.

Everyone has a beginning and it can be called humble as you mention, yet we all still love our first batch of this and that even after years of soaping. The first of many things last a life time of memories and or stories!

By the by I should have mention that my soaps are my very first wine soaps and the only second time I did piping. So these will be special to me for a really long time too!

SOAP is beautiful, soap is all consuming and soap is good clean fun! :)
