Thanks everyone for the compliments. I just love making salt bars. My son cant live without them. He gets really upset when the supply gets low. He told me the funniest thing the other day. He said they taste good when I get soap in my mouth. I told him...Son I know you have a potty mouth but you dont have to wash your mouth out with soap. Really he uses them for his face. It has made a huge difference on his puberty pimples.

Seibert, that engraving is so cool! You could personalize soaps (or, I guess your hubby could)!

An Easter soap, way to late! LOL I need a site that warns of the up coming holidays and seasons so I can edit it to add colors and fragrances. Dreaming out loud!

Mella, that is sooooo pretty! That is a cute little dish you poured into, do you leave it in the dish? I agree about those 'holidays and events' sneeking up on us. Jewls is right, this one could work for mothers day as well. Or you give them out with lable in hand and say do not use until .... ?

Thank you all for commenting! Yes this does look like a custard. You can tell because it is so shiny that it is fresh soap and it will dull out as it cures and the color will change some. RT cure for this one.

The mold for the left over batch was a plastic container. A twice washed applesauce single serve plastic cup! Holds 4 ounces, a good size. I used a lemon sugar fragrance and litsea cubeba, it worked beautifully.

YES Mother's Day! May 13th this year. It just got sunny here after a long winters nap and wow my timing is affected!

Carrie it means room temp in this instance. I didn't insulate, put in the refrig or the oven to cure. These were just rt cured, left in the open air in a soaping closet! HTH
