Teach Soap

Wow...I'm getting some great ideas here! I'm surprised to hear about yogurt cups and milk cartons, though. I wouldn't think they would be able to withstand the temps.

I kept thinking that melted soap was very hot like wax. But candle wax melts at a higher temp than soap. Some containers may warp a bit after many many uses but even the higher temps of the soap allow for ones imagination to really run wild!

Hi, M94. The bases listed under "Bramble Berry Bases" are SLS-free. The "Bulk Melt & Pour Soap Base" does contain SLS, though. If you click on one of the bases, it will list all of the ingredients.

As far as loaf molds go, I like BB's 9-in. loaf mold: http://www.brambleberry.com/9-Inch-Loaf-Mold-P5050.aspx. If I remember correctly, this loaf usually gets me 8 bars @ about 4-5 oz. each. They have a 12-inch loaf mold, too. The dimensions and capacities are listed on the product description.

BB also has several different kinds of rectangular individual molds. Just type "rectangle" into the search box on BB's website and you'll get many results. The cavity size and weight/capacity for each soap are also given.
