I see a lot on here that many of you discount water when making castile,,,,,is this so you can get to trace quicker or has it something to do with curing time. I dont discount my water as I dont seem to have a problem with trace but begining to wonder if the soaps would cure quicker if I did.

I do it for both a faster trace and faster curing time. Although even with less water, mine are cured for at least 3 months.

I did the 10% water discount so I could get trace faster. Took 15 minutes to get a light-medium trace.
