Teach Soap

I want to try and put some small star and heart shape cp embeds in my cp soap, any suggestions on how to go about this? I have some small cookie cutters that are quite deep, would I make some soap and when its still quite soft try and cut with the cookie cutters? or do I actually need to fill the cookie cutters with soap and then hopefully pop out when dry enough? or is there another way of doing this,,,,,thanks for any suggestions

I use small molds mean't for chocolates. They come in hard plastic or silicone. I like the wilton silicone ones the best myself! Silicone ice cube trays also work super well, I picked a few up at the local $1 store.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

If you have a Dollar Tree near you, they usually have Star & Heart shaped flexible Ice cube trays.
But if you already have the cookie cutters, you can cut out soap. Like it was said before, I'd use plastic since a lot of the metal cookie cutters sold are aluminum.

I have some that are 8-10 months old, and I was wondering the same thing! I'm thinking mine will be good for surface embeds but probably too hard for internal ones.

The fresher they are, the less likely they'll fall out. If they're too old/dry, I just wet them before putting in my cp and that seems to work pretty well.

I agree the molds work so much easier. And the older the embeds the better they are for the surface. When doing imbeds I will usually force gel. Also a slab mold or one of my favorite the square silicone (12 bar) mold I got from BB works well with putting the embeds on the top. I have a collection of tiny flowers that I am saving to do this with.
