I've used my overheated soap, seems just fine. Mine got a bit of a grainy texture in the middle, but it had no zap. Its just not as pretty.

Deb, I like the soap that was meant to be a hanger swirl even if it didn't turn out quite as you expected. I think the dark corner is cool! And your oatmeal soap is very pretty - it's a shame it cracked, but it should still be lovely soap.

Susie, love your Leather/Ginger Fish soap - that fragrance combo sounds awesome! Your pencil line is perfect, too. I gotta try a pencil line soon.

I finally got around to taking some photos of my goat's milk soap that I made a couple of weeks ago. This is made with milk 100% in place of the water with a bit of honey and ground oats. The fragrance is Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey. It turned out pretty dark, probably because I let it gel and also probably because of the honey and FO. I like the look, though. This is my first batch of GM soap and I can't wait to use it - I love GM soap!

Debbie I'm wondering why it would overheat if there is no fragrance. I use 1T of honey ppo into a light trace and this doesn't overheat. Perhaps the milk caused the overheat. Hum, what do you think?

I bet it will still be nice to use, and well embeds! LOL (My former solution, I prefer not to use!)

The fan idea on an elevated mold is used by many soapers I've read about.

Great save. I use 1T ppo of finely ground oatmeal and then just a touch of whole oats on top usually. I have to change it up a bit each time so it isn't borning

Jrose, I like the color. I love goats milk soap as well. It is worth working to overcome the idiosyncrasies of it.

Debbie, I am glad to hear that you saved the soap. I would have to do alot of quick cleaning of the freezer to fit a log of soap in! Looking forward to seeing the cut slices.
