Teach Soap

I need some inspiration please guys I have two butterfly molds here which are too small / tricky to do the details of the wings and such. I was thinking of doing them plain colours with a dusting of glitter, but I would love something really special to try. Does anyone have any photos they could share of outstanding butterfly soaps?

Use left over soap from batch to batch in them, doesn't matter the color and then you can use them as embeds. Have you seen the tubes of butterfly soaps cut thin they look so beatiful floating in soap.

OMG Connie, your soaps are outstanding!!!!

Not been having fun with these silly butterflies!!

Butterfly #1 - Not happy with it. It's ok, but not what I had in mind. I think perhaps if I did it in pinks and purples it might look a bit better. I dunno. I'm so hard to please lol.


Butterfly #2 - This was just a rough attempt last night as I discovered the mold by accident. Who knew I had 3 butterfly molds lol!! I'm going to give this another go today and try to really stick the details better... Fingers crossed.


Butterfly #3. Getting frustrated now. This was done with soap shavings in the mold and then sat in a bowl (the mold that is) of boiling water instead of the microwave. Not enough definition in the colour differences though ...


Butterfly #4. Didn't work at all like I had hoped. Will give this mold one more try I think. I'm close, but frustratingly far as well...

This is my butterfly soap. my hubby brought me to woodland creatures mold. I love it. going to try my hand at making it multicolor like the one shown on this topic. hopefully like them.
