Post subject: Sweating Soap

This might seem like a weird question, but I made salt mp soap and the soap started sweating maybe 2 days afterward. Should I have immediately shrinkwrapped the soap? Do I have to? Does the temp in the house have anything to do with it? thanks.

Salt can leach out the glycerin out of MP soap. What type of salt are you using?

I used table salt for the mp salt bar. Should I have used a different type?

Table salt should be ok. What I would have done is pour a thin layer of MP and mixed salt into it. Once hardened, break or crumble this MP into another batch of MP. Wrap as soon as they are cool; especially if there is any humidity in the air.
