Teach Soap

Could someone please tell me if I need to wrap my oddly shaped MP soaps in clear food wrap before i put them into cello bags, or can i just pop them in the bags and tie? Thanks tons!

I would either shrink wrap them or wrap in clear food wrap first. Cello bags breathe and if it's humid where you are, some of the glycerin might start seeping out.

Hi, sudzees! I would wrap my soaps in plastic cling or shrink wrap first before putting them in cello bags, too. Like soapbuddy says, your soap may develop glycerin dew if it is exposed to air, especially if it's humid. Also, the soap can make your bag gummy or streaky if it isn't wrapped first.

omg i just experienced this and i was like man what did i do wrong lol i just had them sittn in my curing room and i went in there an hour ago and they looked like they were dipped in water lol so next time i will shrink wrap them and sit them on the shelf

I have a pile of ziplock bags that I've been putting my soaps into. I had thought they were airtight, but should I still shrink wrap or wrap in Saran wrap? I also have an airtight jar full of small soaps that I keep in the bathroom to replenish the soap tray. They seem to be holding up OK, but have only had a week or so. Mainly, will they keep in these airtight jars (I think they're used for flour, sugar etc. clear plastic from Linens and things), and in the ziplock bags?

I keep my MP base that hasn't been used yet in large Ziploc bags with no problems.
