Teach Soap

I used the following receipe for a solid sugarscrub and it did not turn out.

1TBL oil (I used safflower)
2 TBL shredded soap (I used goatsmilk)
3TBL white sugar

My question is when you melt soap with oil is it supposed to be all liquid? I used the microwave and would heat for about 10 to 11 seconds and stir and then just kept on heating and stiring and then all of a sudden my soap/oil mixture turned foamy. I added the sugar to it and it still seem like I had bits of solid soap and the sugar mixture did not really get very hard. Did I do something wrong

Did you use MP or CP soap?

I think this would work better if your recipe was bigger and you used a mixer to combine the soap and the oils. Then mix in the sugar by hand. A double boiler or the oven would work better for a bigger batch too. Microwaves tend to heat things unevenly.
