Teach Soap

I walked into a whole foods and of course had to smell all the soap on the table. Lux Naturals had a coconut soap with only essential oil listed as the fragrant ingredient. Now, I know that Whole foods does not allow fragrance oIls, and I believe that there is NO WAY to make a coconut essential oil. Am I missing something here???

Maybe they used a combination of FOs that smell coconut like when mixed?

The point is that the requirements of whole foods is that fragrance oils are considered not allowed in products sold in the stores. And the label clearly said essential oil.

Whole Foods has no idea what essential oils actually exist. At my local store they carry soap with pear essential oils. Really!

So I would be curious if that is possible. It did smell exactly like the FO my hubby bought. It would take a lot of work to make a mix of EOs to mimic coconut exactly. Their website lists Natural Fragrance. I don't like that they have the same soap, with different labels, and whole foods turns a blind eye. http://www.luxnaturals.com/soaps/coconut-calypso.html

The word "natural" has lost its meaning. Anyone can call their stuff natural, even if it isn't. There is a fairly large vendor online (whom I won't mention) that sell "natural" fragrances. When they got pushed to the wall, they admitted that their fragrances were lab made. The general public has no clue, including the people that judge products that go to Whole Foods.
