BB is a great vendor, I use them for FO's mostly. Just an FYI, I used Soap Making Resource for the first time last week. I ordered 2 wood log molds. They arrived within a few business days. You can pay with PayPal. If there's a problem, you have 45 days to have PP help you resolve issues.

I've ordered a lot from BB: molds, herbs, buckets of oils that turned out to be cheaper than another, closer supplier, because BB's shipping was cheaper for some unknown reason, some lip balm tubes, a few other things. Because they're across the country, the shipping is sometimes more, and sometimes they don't have the selection I need (since my emphasis is on "natural," I need more EOs and the like).

But I often order from BB anyway, because 1) it is a woman-owned business, and Anne-Marie puts herself out there; we know who she is, we know she works hard, we know her standards--this isn't faceless mega-corp, which I like 2) the service is great--questions are answered, complaints are addressed promptly and 3) I feel like everyone who works there does this stuff. I'm not buying from people who are resellers of stuff they don't know about or understand. And I really like that. 4) I suspect Anne-Marie is a good boss who pays a fair wage. This is important to me. I don't want to save a couple of bucks because someone at a business is working, but on food stamps because their wages are crap.

Generally, I like to support businesses that are well-run, ethically run, and customer and employee centered rather than all about the bottom line.

Sorry, didn't mean to step on toes. I was not putting them down or that I would not ever order from them. I thought that they offer a top notch product.

My Bramble Berry orders are ususally shipped the same day or the next. I've never had problems with shipping taking too long. I wish they would open up another location in Texas! (Dallas to be exact - hint, hint!!!)

Really where you purchase your supplies can depend upon where you are located, who to get the best supplies from that enhance your own recipes, within the best shipping range.

I use many fragrance and eo's from BrambleBerry and many of their colors. Have quite a few of their molds and am happy with all. The company has grown so fast in the past few years that I can't keep up with their rules sometimes. However that said the products are top drawer. Thank you BrambleBerry, I have learned so much on this forum and appreciate your support for it.

Just wanted to say that it seems to me that Steve from SMR is a very young guy who has recently found great success in his online business. They closed for a little while recently to get things together (hired new people, etc.). I have had nothing but great customer service from them and hope they continue to succeed.

And I LOVE Bramble Berry!! 2 thumbs up!!

Wow, thanks for all the responses! It seems that I was pretty much on point about the vendors that I've found. In the next week or so, I'll be ordering from BrambleBerry and Soapers Choice. And I may place a small test order with SMR and CG as well.

Thanks so much to BrambleBerry for running this open forum. I learn something new every time I get on here. What a fantastic community of soapers! And to Mellifera's comment about Anne-Marie and BB being so open and accessible, I couldn't agree more. I feel that I've gotten enough in knowledge from Anne-Marie and her tutorials and this forum, that I don't mind if the shipping is a little bit more than a competitor that could save me a few cents.
