Teach Soap

Hello, I have been makeing this great soap since seeing Nizzy a few years back. I however always have a horrible problem when using intricate molds. I want to make a new 2 part project for my grandchildren and it would mean using such a mold. Does anyone know the best way to coat molds for easy release when working with whipped cp soap? I have used vaseline in the past but not really happy with that result. Thanks!

Whipped CP soap is hard to fill little nooks or crannies in an intricate soap mold because it's so thick. Depending how old you grandchildren are, why not use a MP base instead? You won't need to worry having them around with lye present, MP will fill intricate molds easily, the soap will be ready much sooner and they can have fun with colors or scents.

You could try mineral oil.

Soapbuddy I do not make it with them around, they are 2 and five and love the floating soaps for the bath. I usually just free hand or pipe but I have this idea in my head I just want to try. I do not have a problem getting it in, my problem is getting it out, that stuff really sticks!

How about piping it onto wax paper then? Different tips for different effects.

I haven't tried the mineral oil, but it was suggested to me here because it isn't saponifiable. My CP came right out of my intricate mold about 12 hours after I poured. It was the lucky part of a gremlin attacked batch!
