Mella thanks for the info re:TiO2, I shall perhaps leave a little insulation off next time...
jrose - the multicoloured (blue, pinkish, white) at the back was one I forgot to add the EO to, so did so for last bit of pour by mixing all together and layering on top. The swirl is OK, but a bit granular as the greenish one....

Tumblin - love the delicate pastel shades there

Here are my St Pats day soaps, use grass stain and juniper sage FO. Linda the green chrome oxide did not speed up the trace for me.




And these are my test bars, done without a thermometer, just feeling the basin.
From top left to right: almond with oatmeal, dreamsicle, dragons blood with flax, brown sugar and fig
2nd row: moonlight pomegranite, melonball, perfect peony, madonna lily
bottom row: patch with kelp , sweet pea vanilla, cucumber melon, leather + eucalyptus


I must say it was fun using all of the different FO and seeing the different results.

And your house must smell amazing with all those tester bars.

I have been off work this week, so took some time to make a few batches. These were from yesterday - the light colored batch is my normal recipe unscented, and the green is hunters' soap using deer tallow in place of the lard I usually use. SueW is the hunter, and she rendered the tallow using the deer she harvested this year.

Bambi soap? I love that you use the fat from the deer, that's fantastic! A friend asked me for deer tallow soap, but I can't bring myself to use the deer fat

I've used deer tallow, but my soaps were much lighter then yours. They look nice though.

Those look great, DaveW! It's so cool that SueW used tallow made from the deer she harvested since it probably would have been thrown away otherwise.
