Teach Soap

This is the message I received from a customer:

Got your soap but have to admit we are NOT fans of the seeds. They are nearly impossible to get out of the tub! I am also wondering about the ramifications of rotting seeds in the soap itself. Certainly this could be a health hazard!

The listing photo (below) and the ingredients list clearly shows the cranberry seeds on the soap.

I issued her a refund and said I was sorry she did not like the Strawberry Jam soap.

What else can I say?

Doesn't Strawberry Jam have seeds in it? I don't like the seeds in Strawberry Jam; so I don't eat it!

Can cranberry seeds and strawberry seeds rot? What about poppy seeds?

These seeds were on the top of the soap clearly visible.

What about when rose petals and lavender oxidize and turn brown? Can they grow mold?

or even honey in soap?

Since the seeds would be exposed to a warm or moist environment, it's possible that they could grow mold. Same for lavender or rose.

As noted, you can clearly see the seeds. People don't read. It is a shame, because you are out money now. But, you have to satisfy the customer for fear of bad feedback. So sorry.

I do use botanical's sparingly. People do worry about them clogging their drains. Just a touch for effect is really all you need, well except where Oats are concerned. Finely ground oats in soap seem not to frighten people who love oatmeal soap! Go figure.
