The soap gremlins came for a brief visit this morning while was making a goats milk soap - It started overheating and I hope I got it into the freezer in time to stop it from becoming alien brains! I hope it turns out ok because it smells lovely! I used Vanilla Blossom from WSP and it's a beautiful soft powdery scent.

Linda, really like the black swirl. I need to add patch and cedarwood to my list to try. I love the earthy scents. I am happy to hear you beat out those gremlins. I too had taken a break in soaping due to the holidays. I just made my first batch yesterday since November. But now I have the itch and will try for another batch next week as well. My goal was to try to get one batch done every two weeks, but I was hard pressed not to want to try a new one every week. One would think that I had soap sitting everywhere but it seems I have a larger family and more friends than I knew.

That black swirl soap is wonderful! Gave me the idea to try a similar one with a super dark green for my fiance, his favorite colour. Just not sure what scent to get for him. Has to go with the darned axe spray he uses! [Axe smells nice, but boy is it hard to breath for 1/2 hour after he sprays it on, bleh!]

This batch was made with cornmeal, scented with a mix of Christmas Forest, Herbal Essence, and Grass Stain. I hope that by posting this photo, the nagging by a member who shall remain un-named will end.

Way to go Dave W. Great looking soap and I love the cornmeal addition. Hey you do the fro's nice too! Thanks for sharing!!! About time!!!
