I duct taped one of those sponge paint brushes to the end of a wooden dowel...and sponged on the vaseline. It has come out nice every time...but I still have to use some muscle to unmold it. Usually the end pieces are all mottled from the candle stick...but the end pieces are mine so I do not mind the uglies!! I've got to figure out how to post photos...

If you're going to use freezer paper make sure the waxed side is toward the soap. And do yourself a favor, tape the end that sticks out of the pvc. That will keep if from unrolling as you pour. I use different molds now but used PVC for dozens of batches....I just too lazy to cut them. If your interested I can show you a neat design that you put on the end cap that has tire valve on it. For those very stubborn batches that just wont budge, you put the cap on, and give the bicycle tire pump a few pumps. The compressed air will force the whole log of soap out very easily. Took me a while to figure that one out. Should've put a patent on that baby.....hindsight. Costs about 4 bucks to make but it's worth it's weight in gold.
