Teach Soap

My latest creation (tonight) is my Xmas Tree Cupcake Soap. I'm not used to using clear soaps, so the colours came out darker than I had hoped. (Am running low on Goat's Milk MP.. doh!). The photo also makes it look more 'blue', but is is green. It's meant to look like a Xmas tree with lights and has glitter on it for shimmer...

Cool soaps Coolah. How long did you say you've been soaping, M&P and /or CP? Very good!! I haven't been doing it that long(started researching 6months ago) and have actually been making the last 2/3 months(can't remember).

Going to do CP tonight! My First batch... squeee!!

I'm up over the $1000 mark I know lol. Probably pushing close to $2k mark now haha. I just found a whole heap of molds on eBay and couldn't say no to them haha. Plus for me, being in Aust, when I want that 'must have' item, I pay double for shipping >< Like I want the soap glasses/goggles from Brambleberry - but price is double once you include shipping. Won't stop me lol, just means it takes longer. For now the geeky huge plastic ones will have to do

Been moving stuff around today. Xmas period for me is a complete house tidy and re-orginization because my clothes business now has to share my bookshelf with my soap passion lol.

These are a couple of fishes I made...



One of my Cupcake Soaps. Amusingly, this was Banana scented - and like real banana's, the yellow part turned brown after sitting out for a couple of days lol!



My massaging and exfoliating Vanilla/Coconut bars:



My Watermelon Soaps - my first attempt at embedding soap into soap. Was very proud of these!



And with the left over mixture, I made seedless watermelon cups!



LOVED LOVED LOVED the Watermelon Scent!!!

So, this didn't turn out as well as I had pictured in my head. I had some left over MP soap, was approaching the Xmas period, I had MORE than enough soap for everyone that wanted it, so didn't really want the MP just sitting here over Xmas (which I had already allocated to CP leaning). The idea behind this is those Gingerbread houses that people make at Xmas. My mum used to make a chocolate version - she would melt the chocolate down and form it into 'slabs', then stick it all together and decorated it with smarties.

While the finished product is more 'poverty level housing' lol, I'm still very proud of it given I've only been soaping about a month, had NO instructions to go buy, and did everything on the fly! And either way, it smells nice lol! It's scented with 'Ginger Souffle' from Bramble Berry that I got as a sampler. The 'snow' is Goat's Milk, and the 'decorations' are candy covered chocolate sprinkles. The painting... well... let's just ignore that LOL!

Well that's a first! I have never seen a gingerbread soap shaped like a house. Cute! You are addicted sooooo bad!
