How does one calculate the oil content for a supperfatted HP? I understand that you add the SF oils once you have reached the "petroleum jelly" stage, but I am unsure of how much oil to add! I was planning on doing a 1 or 2% superfatted soap calc recipe (just to be sure all my lye has an oil friend to play with) then add the FO and SF oils at the correct stage. Any help is appreciated, as always =D

Calculate ALL your oils and butters right up front. I would do a higher amount of superfat unless you are planning to use this for laundry. SAP value is a general value that changes slightly from season to season due to conditions the plant was grown in. With 2% superfat, that soap will be most likely very drying. Most soapmakers go with 5 to 7% superfat for safety. It also makes for a milder soap.

I would hold back a small amount of your oil to mix the fragrance in and add it AFTER the cook.
