Hesty I love your colors and your design very nice! Are there loads of McKies and McDonalds on PEI?
I have distant relatives from the island and some are still there! The McKies and McDonalds and Russels!

I know a bunch of McDonalds and Russels! McDonald is a decently common name in my city. =D

The soap was 5% castor and it didn't gel, I shoved it right into the fridge. Its now out on the dining room table where no one goes (until next Christmas Eve anyhow). Its firmed up quite a bit but I will leave it for a couple more days. I forgot to spray the top with alcohol, but so far there is no ash *knocks on wood* hope it stays that way!

great swirls Hestey and Coolah!

I have the hardest time with swirling...here's how mine turned out, lol. I made orange chocolate espresso...the only colorant I used was cocoa powder, and I also used yogurt in this batch.

methree, practice makes perfect. I love the color of your soap. I have not tried yougart yet... its on my list! Let me know how you like the soap after it has cured. Did you try for a line of color with the cocoa... that too is on my list to do. If you did good job... if you didn't - good job!

I love how your soap turned out, methree! Orange chocolate espresso sounds wonderful. I got a sample of BB's Chocolate Espresso FO with my last order - haven't tried it in soap yet, but, wow, does it smell good! I wanted to drink it.

jrose, lol..another one you might like to "drink" or try more like, lol is Turkish Mocha! The Choc. Espresso and Turkish Mocha..mmm, both are good!!

Well, I unmolded and cut my soap today. The outside was nice and firm... the middle wasn't. Its the same thing that happened to Coolah's first caster oil batch! I think caster oil is evil. *sage nod* My ITP swirl turned out AWESOME though! I wish I could find my good camera for better pics! I'm super proud of it =D AND no zap!!! I was scared to test it, but I did hehe, and nothing

We'll be the castor oil sisters How much did you use? I found 10% was too much if I didn't gel. I've dropped back to 5% now...

That said, my very first patch (the perfect batch I made) was 10% castor oil, but that also gelled. So maybe that's the difference? I tried a piece of that in the shower last night - LOVE LOVE LOVE the bubbles!! But yes, makes a soft bar

Its 5% castor and no gel, put it right into the fridge. Going to try to get my next batch to gel... might make it tomorrow =D
