After reading the posts (and seeing the gorgeous results! :shock: ) I am quite intrigued by the salt bar recipe. I just have a couple of questions to which I could not find the answer:

1) What exactly is the "purpose" of a salt bar? Is it exfoliating? Does it get a nice lather? Is it just a nice, neat thing to have?

2) Is it scratchy? I'm trying to imagine that much salt and I cannot get the past the idea that it would feel like a pumice bar!
