So far I've made heaps of MP soaps, and now two batches of CP soap. Is it just me, or is the fragrance stronger in CP?

My favourite scent is Spearmint. I luuuuuuuuurve it! In my MP batches, I could smell it if I got close, or put my nose up to it, but with my CP batch, I just have to walk into the same area and I can smell it. After I made the batch originally, my entire house smelled like spearmint!!!

The answer is, it depends. Some EO's or FO's bloom in CP soap. It also depends how much you used per lb. (or kilo) and at what %.

Does it also depend whether the fragrance stays in the soap better too? I notice other people who sell CP soap don't wrap theirs, but I shrink wrap my MP as I am sure I notice the scent fading if I don't...

Aah ok. Are you able to wrap CP soaps? Like after the 6 week mark once they are ready. Or is it best to leave them out? I just want to preserve as much scent as possible for the customer.

So far I have been getting my scents from Bramble Berry via a distributor in Australia, and recently ordered some from http://www.naturesgardencandles.com as they provide Cold Process results for all their scents so not just for candles.

I just checked their Monkey Farts Scent (one that i have coming) and it says: Shelf-life for fragrance ranges from 6 months to 1 year.
http://www.naturesgardencandles.com/can ... -Oil-.html

Is that the info I am looking for? Is that how long the scent stays 'strong' if unwrapped? Or is that the actual scent in the bottle? As in, how long I can keep the bottle before it becomes unusable?

You can safely wrap CP soap after it cures. I wouldn't shrink wrap it though. CP soap needs to "breathe". BrambleBerry carries quality fragrances. I have used them for years and the scents stick longer then one year. Since fragrances are mostly chemicals with a few naturals used in some, I would say they should last 1 year in the bottle very nicely.

Aah ok. I'd like to find some printable brown paper and make my labels out of that for my CP soap. So far I've only managed to find brown paper on a roll :?

I don't know what the shipping to you would be, but try onlinelabels.com, planetlabel.com or brownkraftlabels.com .

I've had a couple of scents that seemed to fade in CP, but come back after the cure or when the soap got wet.
