Hello all, I purchased lip balm base from BB and it states that it can also be used for solid perfume. The thing is, and I f ollowed the directions carefully, that when I go to apply it either on my lips or as a perfume, it doesn't leave a thin layer like a lip balm would, but it actually comes off like I am applying a thick layer of lotion or vaseline, like it's not solid enough. I only add the FO or the Flavor Oil, is there something I can add to it? here are the ingredients of the base:
Coconut Oil (Cocos Nucifera oil), Cera Alba (Beeswax), Sweet Almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis), Avocado oil (Persea Gratissima).

If it's too soft for your taste, take a small amount of your base and add a very small amount of beeswax. I would weigh all of it. That way if you like the new consistency, you can repeat it. Take notes.

I have Avocado butter, Coconut oil, Olive Oil, Hazelnut Oil and Grapeseed Oil. Oh and Shea butter. Are any of these hard oils? thank you Soap Buddy!!

IQuestion: I have BBs lip balm base. what temp should it be wen I pour it so it won't crack.?
using my own recipe it cracked and i bet I poured it too hot also

I melt mine til almost melted, then I stir til it all melts. My cup is very warm, but not burning to the touch. I have not had a problem with cracking. It could be that there are too many brittle oils in the mix. I pour as cool as possible, but it's still a liquid.
