Teach Soap

I am in search of a supplier, like BrambleBerry, that is closer to the east coast that carries the same stuff as BB. So far, everyone that I have found only carries some of the items, not a full selection. I am trying to find the same quality, but need to save on shipping, and don't like to wait 8+ days to get my purchase. Does anyone know of a place?

And when you have to buy from several locations, you might as well pay the shipping at BB, as when you add it all up, you might even be saving that way. That is why I would like a one stop shopping place... I will welcome any leads.. Thanks in advance!

I totally agree! I found that site and got really excited until I went to the websites. The places in my area should definitely not be on that site! I live in Mass and would LOVE to find a supplier closer to me as well.

It is a struggle. I live in Florida so I feel your pain. But I find though I have bought from some other places for a break on shipping and to get locally etc, they do not have the variety, quality, and service BB does. BB is by far the best. I think we should start a campaign for Soap Queen to expand and build a facilty on the east coast. Just think SQ you can start a location right here in Florida and take Jamieson to the beach and disney world (hey probably even get a resident discount so you don't break open your whole checking account going there LOL). Please surely it would be an adventure.

I've bought from Camden-Grey. They have a good selection, and the products work well. However, on occasion, BB has cheaper shipping, even though it's coast to coast. So definitely check prices and shipping.

I have read posts similar to this many times over the time I have spent on this forum. I do understand that frieght can be expensive and the wait fo your order can be a bit annoying. I live about as far from BB as you can get, I am almost as far as east as you can get and be in the US. I have experimented with other suppliers over the years I have been soaping and have never found one single supplier that offers everything that BB does. Do I buy from other suppliers? Sure I do.

As someone who makes soap to sell the shiiping is simply a cost of doing business. I add it into the cost of my products just like any other expense and move on. For someone who is not selling soaps I can see why shipping would seem to be a bigger issue but if you figure it out at your cost per ounce or item instead of just this big number at the bottom of the invoice the shipping doesn't add up to that much when comparing to other suppliers prices.

In my experince ( I have been in business far longer then I have been making soap ). Price is only one of the issues that is important to me when I am making a choice about where I am going to buy my supplies and in the long run it is often not the deciding factor as much as support, consistent quaility, or selection. I like saving a buck as much as anyone but I don't base all of my buying based solely on the cost of getting the product to my door.
