We would love to save everyone money on shipping. After all, every penny that is saved on shipping is more money for supplies (yipppeeee!). But, we just haven't found a safe way to get the bulk of our products to customers in flat rate boxes. Shipping bags of wax pastilles, you'd think, for example, wouldn't need lots of padding but they do break in shipping at a rather alarming frequency if they're not fully protected. We ship out hundreds of boxes daily and we want all of those boxes to arrive safely. Offering a flat rate option, in our experience, with the wide variety of products we carry and the desire to ship products out quickly, just hasn't worked to get the bulk of packages out to our customers safely and in a timely manner. If it does in the future, I will definitely add it as an option. After all, any money I can save our amazing customers on shipping has a chance of getting spent on more Bramble Berry goodies =)

Our purpose is to get you quality products, at a fair price, through a simple and friendly shopping experience, to your house safely and securely. When we can, we happily customize. We have found that the foam dramatically cuts down on breakage over peanuts and other materials. And less broken packages means more time to do soaping and less time on the phone with us trying to get replacement goodies =) That said, we always ship with packing peanuts upon request.

I am sorry. But being in the shipping business for as long as I have been (11+ years), shipping all kinds of merchandise from very high end parfum to all kinds of body care products to resin home decor items, and many many other kinds of items, we have never had to use the foam stuff, and have basically used peanuts and/or shredded paper. We've had minimal amount of damages in shipments in all of those years. I find it hard to believe that you would need to use the foam stuff for beeswax pestels, etc. In the items I personally ship, I've only used bubble wrap and/or peanuts, and I've shipped glass in priority boxes and have never had breakage. And with the wide variety of FREE priority boxes available, I also find it hard to believe that one cannot be found to be used for most items. Don't forget.. you DON'T have to use priority boxes to ship priority mail. USPS also provides FREE labels that say priority mail or express mail that can be stuck all over a plain box. And you really do not even need to have the labels to ship priority mail... Personally, I think you are unfamiliar with the use of priority mail, and have limited your options because of this.

I have not yet placed my order, because I refuse to have to have it shipped to my ex-job, and I refuse to have to pick it up myself at the main facility because they cannot find my home. Fedex for me is more of a headache then its worth. To prove my point... just 2 weeks ago, Sears Repair shipped a part for my refridgerator to my home via Fedex.. and guess what? They show it being delivered, but it sure did not get delivered to my home. Just yesterday, it was brought over to me, as they delivered it 2 streets away... Because of this, when maintainence came, they could not make the repair. Now I have to wait another month for this repair. And all because Fedex can't find a hole in the ground... And since I've never had this issue with the mail system, this is why its my preference.
