I shall most certainly post pics! I am SO hoping it turns out. My oven is dark so I can't tell if it's gelled or not. I'll wait til I'm sure the oven is completely cooled (so as not to let any warmth escape) then peek in and have a look.

Now why didn't I think of that?

At a quick look through the door, I can say that the soap appears 'set'. It's the only word I can think of to describe it. Of course, I know it's not though. It's been 4.5 hours since I poured it. Does this sound about right, for it to look like this?

Soap going through gel temporarily darkens. How long ago did you put it in the oven? At what temp?

It's been in the oven for 5 hours now. It was at 75C (170F) when I put it in. When I put it in, I turned the oven off. Right now, it "looks" like you could take it out of the mould. It's not wet looking and looks nothing like the gel images in the sticky post.

Thanks Irena. I will leave it in til about lunch time tomorrow (which will have been 24 hours). Is there a chance it could have gelled already?

I've taken it out of the oven, It's been in there for 18.5 hours now. I have to pop out for a while this morning so I'm not cutting it for another couple of hours. It looks the same as yesterday. It's hard (at least on the top) and a little darker around the edges than the middle (like cheese that's been left out) but not a lot. I guess I'll just have to see when it's completely out of the mould. Thank you Irena for all your guidance through this process!
