Hi all, I'm wondering if I were to use sodium Lactate in my HP soap if I could add it after the cook as i do with some other additives ,given the nature of LYE I don't understand why anything would be added to the lye water mixture,has there ever been any research done on what is actually left to say .....silk fibers or sodium lactate , i mean wouldn't the LYE just eat it up??? :)

For HP, add it after the cook, so it's easier to get it into your mold. Sodium lactate is a form of salt, which will not interact with lye, so you can add it to your lye water with no problems if you like.
