Teach Soap

I remember some quote about best intentions, but then specificially forgot it. LOL!

Last Sunday, the 2nd of October, I had intended on making 4 lb batch of honey oatmeal soap. But I had already worked 4 hours on my baby soap and was tired of standing in the kitchen. I made up the lye solution anyway and dissolved my honey in it fully intending on getting to it the next day. Well, here it is Friday alredy and I havent made the soap.

My honey/lye solution is still sitting on the counter, covered but for two small holes I have punched in the lid for pouring. I have not noticed any significant evaporation.

Can I still use this solution? If I cant use this solution.....what the heck do I do with it?

I would go ahead and use it. If you need to warm it up a bit, put your lye container in the sink, filled with warm water.

Thank you Irena for your quick response the other day. Sorry if I seemed pushy, cause I really do value all the great advice you all have given me so far!

I made the soap with that solution and it worked just fine. I didnt even bother heating it up. It was for my first 4 lb batch in my new hand made wooden mold and I cut it up last night and though it still has to cure for a month, I can tell just by the soap scraps that came off the cuttings that this soap is going to be glorious! Im quite proud of it!
